About this worksheet

Quick recall of multiplication facts makes later math, including division, fractions, and multi-digit multiplication, much easier. This third-grade worksheet offers 30 mixed problems using the 2s, 3s, 4s, and 5s facts, with the other factor from 0 to 10. Factors appear in both orders (such as 3 × 7 and 7 × 3) so students practice the commutative property.

How to use it: before your child starts, review a few helpful strategies. The 2s are doubles. The 5s follow a pattern that ends in 0 or 5 and match the minutes on a clock. The 4s are "double the double" (4 × 6 is double 2 × 6). The 3s can be found by adding one more group to the 2s fact. Any number times zero is zero, and any number times one is itself. Students who are still building understanding can draw arrays or equal groups to find an answer.

The answer key on the second page lists every product in order. Circle any missed facts and turn them into a short daily review list; a few minutes of practice each day works better than one long session. This worksheet supports Common Core standard 3.OA.C.7 (fluently multiply and divide within 100; by the end of grade 3, know from memory all products of two one-digit numbers).
